Lunch Talk||Skillie
Where: A cafe in LA.
When: Thursday, February 25, 2021
Who: Billie Lourd & Skeet Ulrich @ulrichcd
Description: A talk about feelings.
Billie: After all of this time, Billie was now unable to hold this in. Especially after seeing, what hopefully was a PR stunt, with Skeet and Lucy having lunch. The idea of him being with someone else was driving her insane. Sure, she felt bad because she was still with Alex but she had a feeling that something was going on there. Nevertheless, she couldn't hold her feelings any longer. After dropping Kingston off at her Aunt's house, she drove over to the cafe to have lunch with the man. Hopefully, he still felt the same for her, otherwise, this might get awkward. The brunette parked then made her way inside and grabbed a table.
Skeet: He wasn't sure what had changed so much that they needed to have this serious conversation. His hopes were that she had finally decided to let go of the man who clearly had other priorities besides his girlfriend and child. But she had ditched him once before to 'keep the family' together so he didn't know if that would ever change. He got the cafe and walked inside to see her sitting there, walking over he pressed a small kiss to her cheek before sitting across from her. "Hey, how's it going?" he asked.
Billie: A smile instantly spread across her face seeing Skeet walk in. Billie leaned in to his kiss on her cheek. "Hey.." She said as she tucked her hair behind her ear. "Oh, it's going." Laughing softly. "How's it going with you?" Asking before someone came over to take a drink order, then she informed the person that they were going to need some time. Her eyes moved over the man's face. Every time she was around him, her stomach filled with butterflies.
Skeet: He shrugged slightly and smiled back at her. "It's alright. Little less exciting now that we're not shacked up together in Cape Cod anymore. But at least it's warmer," he replied with a chuckle. His eyes moved back to the menu in front of him briefly to look at the options before looking up to her again. "So... Did you wanna get the serious talk out right away or drag it out?" he asked, only partly joking.
Billie: A soft laugh escaped her lips. The time that they had spent together in Cape Cod had been amazing. Luckily, Alex had left so they were able to be together. She drew in a breath as he ask if she wanted to talk right away. No use in drawing things out. "Okay, I don't know what's going on with that other chick, or any other chicks for that matter.." She started, "But.. I.." She bit down on her bottom lip. "I think I'm in love with you.." Her stomach flipped inside of her. "I don't want to see you with someone else.. I want to be with you.."
Skeet: His eyebrows furrowed. "What other chick?" he asked, not able to think of who she was talking about. "I don't have 'other chicks'..." Not that he should really need to explain if he did. She was with someone else... But he was hung up on her and wasn't interested in seeing other people. But he wasn't expecting her next words and his eyebrows raised in surprise. "You love me? I... But you're with Alex?" he stammered out."Don't get me wrong, I want to be with you too... That's why I stayed with you so long."
Billie: She shook her head. "I don't know.. I saw some pictures.. It's whatever, I guess.." she reached out so that she could take his hand. "I have to figure out how to end things..." It might not actually be as difficult as she was thinking it would be, but they still had Kingston to think of. "I've kind of been miserable since we got back.. Now I know why.."
Skeet: "Oh god, Lucy? Yeah, no... We know each other through work and got lunch. Apparently a bad idea with how everyone is going on about it now," he sighed, rubbing at his forehead. He smiled softly though, gladly taking her hand. "I'm sorry you've been miserable. Hopefully I can put a smile back on that face."
Billie: "Oh, okay.." The brunette nodded. "They usually do blow things out of proportion.. You know this." She entangled her fingers with his and gave his hand a squeeze. "It wasn't really about that, I guess, my feelings just boiled over." Obviously, she'd been trying to play it cool, but it would be a lie to say that Skeet hadn't been on her mind the whole time. "It's my fault.. I should have never left you to begin with." Ain't that the truth though? "I think you definitely can."
Skeet: "Yeah, I barely know her to be honest... Just vague acquaintances," he replied with a shrug. Although, he could potentially thank the other woman for being part of the reason that Billie decided she wanted to be with him. "Well, I could have told you that," he joked, although it was partly the truth. He knew, even back then, that her baby daddy wasn't going to cut it. "So... you wanna get out of here so I can put that smile on your face now? Or should we eat first?" he asked with a small laugh.
Billie: The woman could already feel herself start to relax. She was glad that he she hadn't been too late and that he had moved on. Of course, she would be happy for him if he was happy, but she would seriously be kicking herself. Pressing her lips together, she shook her head. "I think you did tell me that." She laughed softly, as she leaned in a bit more. "I think we should order something to go." A small smirk formed over her lips.
