Week 1: I should write more.
Since I have a tumblr, and since my writing isn't nearly as mindblowing as it used to be, I've decided that I'll start writing weekly posts here just to keep my writing up and also because I enjoy it.
It's been holiday for the last ten days, and it's my first week of exam term. This isn't a good thing because it means losing out on a lot of sleep for the next three months, and unnecessary stress. I'm really not looking forward to writing exams, but I can't avoid it so I'll try to put in the required amount of work - or more if I'm feeling generous.
Music
This week I've been listening to Skip Cloud's Helix EP. It's chiptune music, meaning people either love it or find it entirely unbearable. I've also been re-listening to a lot of Daft Punk, and with their new album coming out soon I've been trying to limit myself, for the security of my sanity.
I've also been making some music, one song of which I submitted to UCT Radio (a local university radio station) in hopes that I can get some feedback.
Movies/Series
I haven't really been watching any movies recently, however I have been watching lots of series. The Walking Dead's third season ended a week ago with a somewhat lacking final episode, but that was all mended with the return of Game of Thrones, which I am going manic about once again. I've also been watching Vikings, which is really good - you should watch it.
Books
I've not been reading as much as I used to, for a long time. I've been attempting to regain my previous reading regime of a hundred pages a day with a Game of Thrones and the Kite Runner (I really don't want to read it, it's a setwork), so once I make some progress I'll discuss those.
Anyhow, that's it for week one. Maybe I'll stop being boring and post some graphic design stuff too. We'll see.
Music Tuesday: Something slightly different; slow and simple! I wrote it for Cat <3
