Movie Wednesday: Chaplin 1992
I'm what you call a movie buff [not really] anywho, I love biography films! and recently I watched Chaplin. Robert Downey Jr was a perfect pick to play Charlie. In my opinion he embodied Chaplin so well. He had it all Charlie's silliness, posture, and seriousness it was all there! And me having a massive crush on Downey kinda plays a role in my opinion. The movie is based on Chaplins Autobiography written by Charlie himself "My Autobiography" It was directed by Richard Attenborough.
For a quite well summed summery of the film, here's the IMDB page.
If you're interested in the film, and would like to watch it, here you go.
I also drew a chibi toogi [toogi is my nickname] Chaplin. what do you guys think?
Spock Judges You All!
I finally did it! My very own animated gif! [so happy I can cry now] what do you guys think of the GIF? pretty basic... but it moves :p
I was inspired to make this after seeing Zac Gorman’s Comic on Kotaku today. A little Gomez to start the new year! For people who don’t know, Fez is a puzzle-platformer that is on XBLA for 800 Xbox points. I recommend downloading it! It also has a killer soundtrack that you should download.
OH MY GOSH! I actually made a clean cut! I bet to most earthlings find this quite easy, and ask themselves "Why the hell is this idiot excited about this?" Well well I'm an Arab girl which means I'm a spoiled homo sapien The closest I've ever been to cooking was making a cheese sandwich and I actually once set bread on fire [I swear it's not for any terrorist acts or any stereotypical thing I'm just that bad at cooking] I know cutting a fruit isn't cooking it's just pure slicing but for a person who never healed a knife before this is cooking. Alright I'm babbling a lot. It sure looks good but doesn't taste as it looks <sad>
lesson of the day: Weird works!
Goals are scary.

This was really inspiring!
This is what I have to keep telling myself, haha
This is why I recommend people start webcomics. It’s all just practice and you get better with each page.
“Flume” by Voyager
Originally by Bon Iver
Voyager is a new band out of Birmingham, Alabama that creates a sort of rustic shoegaze sound with a bedroom pop sensibility. The band, fronted by Evan Mullins, is set to release it’s stellar “Midnight Fang” EP soon (stream it at Bandcamp now), and in the meantime you can sample some of their gorgeous work on Soundcloud, including this starkly beautiful take on Bon Iver’s “Flume” (as well as a killer Lana Del Rey cover).
AHHHHHH Bon Iver you wonderful wonderful human being! You give me so many feels!
Batman Comics
I’ve been wanting to do this post for a while but procrastination won the battle. Anywho, I’m one big fan of comics, especially batman comics. I just this it’s brilliant! The characters, the villains, the plot everything about it is amazing. If you never read any batman comics, and would want to give it a go, this is the post for you. These are some of the comics with great stories.
First off, Batman Hush. The story and art are both wonderful. The story is written by Jeph Lobe, and penciled by Jim Lee (Spectacular artist btw) The story goes around this mysterious stalker who want’s to get batman, and he does so by utilizing a large number of batman villains. The first hush is the best in my opinion and well the rest of the hush series is meh but if you want to check them out they’re Batman Hush Returns, Batman the heart of hush .
Secondly and my favorite, All-Star Batman and Robin. A brilliant comics it talks about the story when the first Robin (Dick Grayson) joins the cap crusader. But this is brilliant the way Frank Miller portrayed batman is EPIC! and what better combination of writer and artist Jim Lee (also the artist of the first Hush) I just can’t wait for the second volume.
Thirdly, Batman: Year One. Yet another brilliant story by Frank Miller. Illustration was done by David Mazzucchelli. It talks about the first year Bruce Wayne put on the cape and how difficult it was at the beginning. Also the first year Jim Gordon came to Gotham city police. It’s nice to see how it all started.
Fourthly, Batman: The Killing Joke It’s written by Alan Moore, and drawn by Brian Bolland. The plot revolves around a psychological battle between Batman, and his old-time enemy the Joker. The joker tries to drive commissioner Gordon mad, to prove that even the best of people can go insane after having “One Bad Day”. I remember when I read this it was creaped me out that I understood the joker, and that he made a lot of sense.
Fifthly, Batman Arkham Asylum. It’s written by the brilliant Grant Morison, and illustrated by Dave McKean. What I can say about this comic, that it’s dark. It talks about the story of Arkham. The art is spectacular here.
I’ll stop here, but later I’ll provide you with the second batch of batman comics. I actually enjoyed writing this comics post will do more of them with different comics. Tell me what you this if you read any of these.
I wrote this a while ago in my other blog And thought it's accurate for today's theme. PLUES it's freakin Batman how can i not have it in this blog!
Wednesday Comic: Calvin and Hobbes.
Honestly waking up in the morning and reading one of Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes comics will definitely make your day better. I love Calvin and the way he see's the world. I especially love his daydreaming parts. Reminds me so much of my childhood. I honestly wish I read this when I was a kid [I still enjoy it though as the kid I am]
If you're interested in reading some of Calvin and Hobbes comics check them out here.
If you prefer having them on your tablet/pc for offline use fear not a torrent is here to save the day.
xkcd: Resolution
Yes yes yes exactly how I feel about every fucking resolution I have!
Music Tuesday: Hype Machine
One of my favorite Miyazaki films!
I'm trying to be better at drawing weather it be on an actual sketch book o tablet. As you can clearly see it's well it needs A LOT of work, but what was the saying..."Practice makes perfect" Good thing I'm not aiming for perfect just good. I took a reference image from google image to help me with this so the style isn't mine but someone out there in the interwebz so randome person thank you. Ahhh I just can't wait when I actually getto have my own style and actually understand these shading stuff! I'm going to try post an image everyday and if I get any better animation! <fingers crossed>
Thoughts anyone?
faces of societies
