Skoda Octavia- An Irresistible Sedan
Skoda Octavia was the car which gave Skoda cars a rapport and recognition in Indian market. Way back in early decades of 21st century when the country was celebrating the economic boom, the German car maker entered here and what a debut it was, the first vehicle went into establishing a brand name, which though was more prominent on global platform yet not a well-known name in India but this was only before Octavia was launched here.
The demand for the most spacious and extremely powerful car in sedan saloon segment on the roads at that time was so huge that they sold a handsome amount of saloons in the very first year. Celebrating the huge success of their brand, the parent company Volkswagen made their debut a few years later. But despite a good customer base, they discontinue the saloon to promote their new saloon, the Luara. It too was a good vehicle but did not proved to be as good as the former. So they are now bringing the former back but in all new avatars.
The Skoda Octavia pictures are doing round on the Internet for quite sometimes and these pictures arose a good amount of peoples’ curiosity and now they were waiting for it to be launched since the time they saw the awesome design and mesmerising looks. The sedan was official launched here a couple of weeks ago but the Skoda Octavia price was not yet announced. They are bringing them this festive season and the bookings shall start from the first week of October. The new model will not replace the existing one, the Laura but the two will be sold side by side as it is confirmed by officials.
This will be based on all new platform, the MQB platform designed by VW group and to be implemented on all the owning brand vehciles. Currently, Audi Q3 and Volkswagen Golf is mounted in this platform. This will enhance the dimension of the new model by around 90x45 mm as compared to the current Laura. However, this will add in more space and hence will provide more comfort to the passengers.
The newly launched Skoda Octavia features a 1.8 litre TSI petrol engine and there are two more engine options to choose from. A 2.0 litre TDI and 1.4 litre TSI, all of them offering a diesel and petrol fuel options. The design and quality of Skoda cars are well-tested and widely trusted. This model surely lives to those standards which it sets itself back in early decades of the millennium. The sedan is the first vehicle from the manufacturer to get the iconic daytime LEDs which has been the trademark of VM cars, specially the Audi and Skoda Superb Facelift is anticipated to hit indian market soon.
