@lightgriffinsect I’ve decided Draco is part of a sister species to Skullkers :3

They evolved separately in different parts of the world, one developing a mutualistic relationship with the locals while the other goes on bloody rampages and kills everything in sight

These are Skullkers, a violent and dangerous monster with no soul and no conscience. They attack anything that moves and don’t stop until they can’t smell any life from their victims.

They’re a serious problem, hence beginning a series of experiments in order to create weapons to eliminate them. Infusing the DNA of a fetus with the DNA of the Skullkers, it was hoped that a creature could be made to at least stand a chance against them.

Lucifer was the second attempt, and when he was the first to transform, the experiment seemed to have been a success. Until he lost control.

He may have been small, but he still did an incredible amount of damage.

The life experiments were shut down, but the research continued. The clans hope that one day something can be done to get rid of the Skullkers. Permanently.
