Day One: My goal is a two parter:
a) keep up-to-date with my sky blanket (it’s huge! The top picture has cut off approximately another half metre, making it nearly three metres wide! The end result is meant to be 18 squares wide and 20 rows long, so what I planned on January 1st as a nice lil’ twin bed sixe spread has grown into an absolute monster! (Although a very snazzy one.)
b) crochet at least two octopuses a week and when I’ve squeezed as many out of the cotton as I can, donate them to a hospital for the premature babies. Despite using the exact same pattern for both in the photo, somehow the one on the right has come up smaller. C’est la vie.
Day Two: I plan by, uh... you see-- WELL
I don’t plan. At all. The only thing I know for certain is what I want to make. You’d think with my anxiety I would need everything planned down to the tiniest stitch, but pinning pretty things I see on my pinterest board is all I need!
Day Three: My best habit is probably that I will carry on crocheting something right up to the bitter, bitter end.
Day Four: My worst habit is if I hate the end result, I shove it in my big purple bag where I keep the rest of my yarn and dig it out again in December to gift it to somebody.
Day Five: My organising is better than my planning! I keep the sky blanket in the canvas tote bag you can just barely see in the photo behind the box, although give it two more rows and I’ll have to find somewhere else I suppose. Everything for the octopuses I still keep in the amazon box it came in, which makes it easy to lug around to whichever room I’m sitting in. Everything else? Stuffed in a big purple laundry bag under my bed. Out of sight, out of mind.
Day Six: Craft Journal? Eh heh, no. Too much like planning for me.
