Have you thought about just separating the chapter into two? One just the hockey foreplay and one for the aftermath. It would give you more time to work while posting something in the meantime
Okay tbh yes I have. Let me be so for real with you rn tho. I have a Weird Thing About Format™ wherein I have a really hard time changing how I go about things because I created this format and how could I DARE change it???? And rn that is my Personal Hell, because the Format™ for this fic has been: alternating POVs with NO EXCEPTIONS
However. I am wondering. If,,, perhaps. This maybe has to do with some of my Autism getting a little bit Need For Consistent Structure-y. Haha.

Anyway. Another thing is, I promised the people sex this next chapter. If I separate it, sex will not be in the next chapter, even if technically it would be like, chapter 14 part 1. And then y'all will have to wait EVEN LONGER for the sex to happen and I will be completely honest!!! I feel bad about that!! It’s like edging until it’s getting painful! 😭😭😭
This ask has me facing the inevitable though. This is probably the best route to take, especially because at least then it give y’all like um,,, 15k+ to chew on.
