Vivianne found herself taking a bit of a jaunt out to explore more than just the Cotes Ward. She had looked through a list of many different places on her phone; Vivi just settled on one that sounded like it would be a good quiet place to visit.

Vivi held Gwen in her arms as she stepped through into Cafe December. She knew she could trust Gwen to NOT wander off, but she wasn’t sure about the Cafe’s policy about Pokemon. She knew back home places did not care, but this was not back home. Vivi hated how often she had to remind herself of that fact.

Vivi breathed in the scent of the cafe the minute she stepped in, taking a second or two to relax, before she stepped up to the counter. She figured she could order and stick around… it seemed like a quiet place to really settle in and figure out her next steps.

”Uhm. Excuse me?” Vivianne asked the worker behind the counter. “I’d like to order.”

"Gotta say I'm not exactly great on this Halloween costume thing. If Creek was here she'd probably be able to pull off a look like this better then I could." Even after walking out with bandages wrapped around like some "zombie horse girl" it still felt like there could be more done. And a competition was a competition at the end of the day no matter how much effort one wanted to put into it. Problem was the only one who was seemingly willing to help didn't quite seem to know what to put on as well.

A team effort scratching each other's backs wouldn't be the worst way to get some new ideas. Even if by the end of it they'd have to compete against each other regardless...

"How bout' you, anything striking you that might fit your fancy? Or still shooting blanks in the dark?"

Vivi stepped into Cafe December with Gwen at her heels. She looked up to the counter and froze for a second. Oh no it was Harpuia behind the counter... again. Oh dear... "Hi, um... can I order?"

Vivianne found some time away from Cecil - after parting with a peck to the aristocrat's cheek - with her faithful companion, Gwen, in tow. Which was very helpful, as she didn't have room to hold the gift bag that the Eevee proudly trotted along with, with the handful of her skirts that seemed to become butterfly-like wings (as if to match the butterfly motifs in her jewelry and even the purple painted symbol on her forehead).

She smiles warmly to the person she had been striding towards, already aware of the fast beat of her heart. Harpuia looked fantastic, and she was so secretly glad she was able to match with him and Cecil.

"Harpuia!" Vivi greets as Gwen gracefully sits in front of him, and the trainer lets out a light laugh. "My apologies, Gwen is very excited to give you a gift from the both of us. I'm afraid I missed you on Valentine's Day."

“   Got caught giving a fuck. Embarrassing. ”

"Caught in 4k, babe." Vivi rambles off before she realizes what she said. .

..And suddenly wow there's a spot on Harpuia's floor that looks SUPER interesting. Oh wow look at that.

"Here." This time, he doesn't leave the box at her door and run. This time, he gives them to her directly. It's a box of a dozen homemade macarons, evenly split between strawberry, black sesame, and birthday cake flavors. He offers no explanations or excuses--just the sweets.

She's a little surprised he hands the box to her directly after she opens the door. But, Vivi smiles warmly despite teh blush on her cheeks.

"Thank you, Harpuia. Would you like to come inside for some tea?"

She had - sincerely, really - hoped this wouldn't be too forward, but with the news of a Ball happening soon Vivi thought it'd be nice to go. At least it made sense with the uptick in orders she had to work on at Faucher.

Going alone, however, was not in her plans. So she picked up her phone and found the contact she was looking for.

[txt: to Harpuia] Hey, it's Vivi. I wasn't sure if you heard about the ball happening.

[txt] I want to go, but I have no one to go with. Would you come with me? Going alone to these things usually isn't ideal.

Then she immediately put her phone face down, huddled Gwen close, and curled up on her bed waiting for a response.

Harpuia gives her a package of 12 assorted flavor macarons and says blandly, "On the house." What house? These didn't come from Café December. Did he make these?

Give my muse an item and see how they react!

"Oh these look beautiful, Harpuia," Vivi delicately took hold of the box. "Did you make these? I don't remember Café December having macarons as an option on the pastry list."
