I‘ve stopped redrawing my digital designs of the tarot cards but I want to continue soon, and also draw more new ones. This is only the third of them and if I want to haw a whole deck I obviously need 78 xD oh well, we‘ll see.

But I love love love how watercolor paint looks. Why did I never realize that before?? It‘s so vibrant and kind of translucent and soo pretty. This dark blue…love it.

🪶 Moth Tarot by Skyggsja

guys I‘ve got something new and let me tell you, I. Love. These.

[i later saw that i had the wrong number on the Tower Card. I corrected that, it‘s a „16“ now]

The first version of this tarot deck is a couple of years old. They used to be Polaroid shaped and the art style was pretty different. I also wrote all the info about the card in the bottom, wider part of the polaroid. Those were actually really popular here on Tumblr and tons of people asked me whether I would finish that deck and get it printed. I never ended up finishing the deck because I didn‘t really have a concept for the entire major arcana and also no concept for the minor arcana at all. I‘m also neurodivergent in some way or other and ended up just moving on to a different project. Looking at the old designs now I cringe a little because they colours and the execution was just not that amazing tbh.

But I still really love the basic idea of it all and after giving it some thought I came to the conclusion to just try it again. Same motifs, a simpler but in my opinion much nicer art style and a better colour palette. And as I said, personally, I really love these…

I‘m not yet sure if this ends up being an entire deck. If so, I think the minor arcana cards would be pretty basic probably, at least in comparison to the major arcana. maybe these will just be a couple of random tarot cards. we‘ll see. But I really hope you like these and lmk what you think please 🌞🌞🌞 blessed be, it‘s still almost Lughnasadh 🌾🌾

i redesigned these cards to be a bit different from what they looked like before because I like when they‘re simple and symmetrical. was really surprised that I ended really liking the Sun card which was a card I hated in my old design lmao.
