I think experienced witches should step up. All I see is lists of expensive books dropped into beginners' laps "Here, these will help."

Um... Well, I'll save my opinion on books on witchcraft for another time, but you can't just give some advice, gently mentor or answer some questions?

Well, fuck. I guess that's why I'm here for. I will gladly answer a question or two. However, I do charge for lessons and mentoring, etc, please don't try to take advantage of my good nature.

Maybe there's a shortage of legitimate experienced witches, I don't know.

If I don't know something, I won't waste your time by pulling something out of my arse to save face. If I can't help, I can at least point you to the right direction.

Perhaps never witches ask "stupid" questions because experienced witches failed them.

With the rise of AI slop, people are getting worse and worse answers to their questions. Let's put a stop to that, shall we?

So anyway, we're going to clean the statue of Mary in her form as "the Sun of Mystics" to welcome spring.

So, I don't celebrate the Wheel of the Year because, in my mind, the way weather works in South Africa doesn't support it. My mom and I were on a walk today, and we both agreed that we based it on what we could actually see. Not to mention that the only real Celtic blood we have comes from our ancestry with the Gothic Tribes. So, we sat and spoke. She bases her wheel on the planets and the constellations. That is, she looks at the way the sun moves to see where she is in relation to the Wheel of the Year. For me, I base it on plants and trees and make my own sabbaths. An example is today, I was walking and saw that the trees had begun to bud in preparation for spring. So, that marks the sabbath for me of "Budding of the Leaves", the first rain after that is "The First Rain Season" and so on. To me, I don't believe in the Wheel of the Year as it's portrayed in Wicca because it's not based on what I can see. Imbolc may pass but that doesn't mean the first signs of spring are there. What I can see, however, are changes in temperature, the budding, the birds flying back, the way the sun rises earlier and the moon sets, the leaves falling off and more. That, to me, is a big part of nature-based occultism.

A couple of weeks ago I bought myself a small scrying mirror. I’ve cleansed it a couple of times intending to use it just to try it out. Each time it felt intensely wrong so I didn’t. I cannot describe what just happened, but I sincerely hope it was a trick of the mind. I’ve just put up an extra protection ward just incase.
