I mean...Lan Zhan couldn't exactly ditch his clan and traumatized older brother, that would be exceedingly negligent and ooc. And while I def wish they had shown some dialogue making more obvious WWX was invited, I think the mini time skip is meant to strongly imply that he was, but chose to still leave. I figured WWX needed time to readapt to the world and be away from clan politics for a bit and he couldn't really do that at cloud recesses

(Admittedly that last part is interpretation and they def could have been clearer about what happened...I was confused pretty well at first too)       

Maybe, but I’ll still forever cry about the fact that they did part. And especially without talking it through like it was shown in the show.

I thiiink it’s something of a translation thing, in the subs I watched it made it sound more like he was literally wearing mourning clothes, while others make it sound like wwx is commenting on how the white theme of the lans make them LOOK like they’re always mourning, and I’m really not sure which translation is more accurate?

yeah i’ve rewatched that scene in 3 different websites and two of them translated it as the white clothes making the lan clan look like they are at a funeral and the other mentioned mourning. but i thought it was a very interesting thing to notice seeing lan zhan WAS in some level still mourning wei wuxian so i was wondering if someone who read the novel could maybe explain (?)

Okay last one: what character dynamic do you think was under-represented in S1 and you desperately want more of in S2?

i think dirk and amanda’s relationship was definitely underrepresented!!!! also defs farah and amanda’s, but i’d really like to see more of amanda and dirk’s relationship in season two!!

I really have to go with 03 envy. I love 09 Envy too! A lot! But in the end 03 Envy hurts me more? Maybe is a little bit more relatable? So I have to go with him. Tho I absolutely love how much more lively 09/manga Envy feels. So dramatic and attention seeking, even if that attention ends up hurting them.

probably my fav dramatic moment is when we first meet the rowdy three in the flesh and they like completely fuck up todd’s apartment. i also love the scene in the forest w dirk and todd where dirk tells todd to stop calling himself an asshole, but idk if that’s really dramatic

my fav lighthearted scene (and one of my fav overall scenes) is where dirk and todd get captured by gordon in the animal centre thing and dirk’s like “well at least he’s gonna have the answers” and gordon just asks them like 5 billion questions lol

i’m really looking forward to meeting some more blackwing “"subjects”“ in s2!!!! i can’t wait to find out more about them and their powers

What is something you would HATE to see happen in S2? Which character group is your favorite (Amand+ Rowdies, Dirk+Todd+Farah, Bart+Ken, etc.)? Favorite pastries? Favorite kind of music?

holy shit i would die if anyone dies. like thinking about bart or farah dying makes me so so sad. also like?? shitty writing would be awful or forced heterosexual relationships, but i don’t think either of those are going to happen

i love all of the character dynamics and relationships so so so much, but i think my number one is bart & ken! they’re just so fucking funny and charming and weird and i love them a lot :’)
