skype is rolling out a new, very ugly update for android and iOS. it prioritises moving images and weird squiggles over clean lines and visual contrast which was great for the past twelve or so years. for people like me, who don't want it, here is how to disable it:

ANDROID: OPEN GOOGLE PLAY, SEARCH FOR SKYPE, HIT THE SKYPE APP, AND THEN IN THE CORNER WITH THE THREE DOTS. HIT THAT, AND UNCHECK "AUTO-UPDATE"

IOS: GO TO SETTINGS, ITUNES & APP STORES, THEN UNDER AUTOMATIC DOWNLOADS, SWITCH UPDATES TO "OFF"

Microsoft: Wow! Let's change mobile Skype to be more cool!

Skype users after updater: What the fuck is this, this is too heavy, this is touch to look at, I don't like it, this is shit, Microsoft fucking stop, turn it back.

Microsoft: ..... Let's put the update on computer Skype!

Skpe Users: NO ONE FUCKING ASKED FOR THIS!

((So I don’t know why, and I can’t figure it out, but when I updated Skype on my laptop, suddenly all of my sounds are distorted. Not just in Skype, but on my computer in general. Sounds it makes, youtube, itunes.

Now if I restart my computer, it seems to fix this--unless I start up the latest version of skype, or skype does something funny (like shut itself down like it did this last time) and then, boom! Distortion all over again.

Anyone know what to do about this?

I’m about ready to uninstall skype and see if that fixes it!

This new mobile Skype update the absolute bane of my existence, I hate it so much. I wouldn't care as much if my laptop keyboard worked so in could use Skype there but hahaha...im stuck on this new gen Facebook wannabe piece of donkey shit
