Heels clicked along the pavement as Amy moved along the sidewalk with laptop in hand, it was easy, most of the work she was being given by the college, but the locations never changed. Amy was used to changing areas where everything she could see would be different almost everyday so staying in the dorms and working wasn’t what she was used to when done often. Today Amy had decided to head towards a popular ice cream parlor in the Queens district, now that she though about it, it was a bit odd how some things in this place was named...Queen, Jax...Jokeo? It seemed similar to her, maybe the cards Zeke played with a lot... A few more clicks and Amy was now in front of the parlor the outside wa decent looking and honestly it surprised her, was this how some buildings looked before the calamity and the creation of ports? An odd idea, but one she could see as a reality. Amy opened the door and walked inside and it was almost as if she was a kind who was entering a place like this for the first time ever, because...well it might as well be the case exactly! The crawlers were always so bland in color and always in operation there was no time for decorating.
Amy looked over the area to examine all that the place had to offer daily deals, new flavors, everything, a treat like this was extremely rare to her especially when on the ashcrawler. Taking in the flavors Amy actually had to stand out of the line that was there to actually figure out what she wanted to have, surely this was not an odd occasion at twisty’s right? It was a popular place after all. Taking a second to grab her notepad, because she lacked her portable terminal, Amy began to record some notes on the place, while this was not required of her it would be nice to give any one that’s new here some information on the place. After taking her notes Amy decided to just take the popular choice with the Rose Drop ice cream, after getting her ice cream, and making sure laptop was safely secured under her arm so she could comfortably carry the ice cream Amy moved to try and find a place to sit down. Her eyes scanned the area yet again letting word slip from her mouth as she did, “I wonder what Hilda would think of this place...” after walking around for about a minute Amy noticed that close to every table was taken up by a group at least one person who didn’t look very happy, save for one. A man who looked a bit odd in Amy’s opinion, though honestly he reminded her of a girl she knew named Claire, and to this though Amy wa able to calm down her nerves a bit.
It was a stranger yeah maybe she was a bit scared knowing that no one she knew was around and could help her when she needed it, but that’s not the point! A new place is a great place to make new friends...right? Clearing her mind Amy walked up to the table and kind of leaned in smiling to the man, not only was he alone, but he also seemed to have a different flavor ice cream than she did. And so Amy began to speak, “Um...i know this is kind of random, but it kinda seems most of the table are taken...do you mind if i sit here with you? I’ll try not to bother you too much, i promise.” With this Amy straightened her posture her hat sitting gently on her head as she looked to the man await confirmation or denial of being able to sit down. Amy was just really hoping that she wasn’t disturbing him at all, she hated to both people when they were doing something and the fact she came to him out of nowhere was even more bothering to her mind. Though in the end it was either this or sit on the floor, Amy knew how to handle children, Hilda, and Ricardo, but random social conversations that were unprofessional? Not her strong suit honestly.
