The saddest part of Anakin’s story is how he doomed by the narrative
 Because Darth Vader isn’t redeemed until return of the Jedi, a whole 23 years from revenge of the Sith.
Because of that, there is no possibility for Vader/Anakin to be redeemed, no matter who or what reaches out to him, the only choice there is to keep making Vader worse and worse until he’s a full on living demon that you wonder how he was ever Anakin in the first place.
