Happy Monday, Slack is down

If your computer or phone is pinging you a little less frequently today, it might be because Slack is having some service issues. "Some workspaces might be experiencing issues with messages sending and loading," it said on its status page. "Our team is on the case and we'll report back once we have an update to share." Down Detector also showed a significant spike in users reporting Slack isn't working for them.

The outage follows one that hit Twitter a couple of weeks ago. The issue meant the service wasn't available for many users for an hour or so.

Slack is down, take the rest of the day off

No, it’s not just you.

Slack is experiencing issues, as noted on the company’s status page. The issues appear to largely be focused on its Workspace/Org Administration service. We here at TechCrunch HQ East are no longer able to send one another direct messages, and honestly the idea of swiveling our chairs around to speak to one another is giving us some intense anxiety.
