I guess i'm floating by M83 comes on on my iTunes shuffle, and i'm instantly transported to this video, and thoughts of my favourite car in the world.
"His name is Rusty Slammington"- A chant of love echoed throughout Rusty's farewell thread on the S|W forums (at least one of his farewell threads, he's actually had a few throughout his lifetime).
I patiently wait for Rusty's return. Every time I load up S|W, part of me wonders whether the first entry will be 'the one' unveiling his return. The same way SW's article: "The Godfather is Back" was the first entry when I decided to go through all my automotive bookmarks on one boredom-filled morning how ever many years ago. It was completely out of the blue, after I thought Rusty had been put away after Mike discovered the body had started to split.
I remember that day. Back when my bedroom was on the other side of the house. That's how long ago it was. I'm probably one of Mike and Rusty's younger fans, but for how many years - since I was 13/14 - when my passion for cars really took over my mind and my heart; Rusty has always been there. Rusty and his companion-like connection to Mike have always been the cornerstone and posterchild of everything I love and want out of this absurd passion for automobiles.
