Okay, Slanted was really good! I think it delivered exactly what it promised. I think the over the top satire of American culture was absolutely perfectly done. I loved every single actress/actor and casting choice. Just: very well delivered. Adding the trailer because I never would have known about this movie if I hadn't clicked on it when I saw it under movie times at the theater to see something else.
I really want to watch Slanted because of the plot, but body horror makes me very very uncomfortable

My grandpa died last week. Which means three days bereavement! In classic me fashion, I chose to take this time and see a new horror movie and shop. Slanted is a solid 10/10. It's brilliant, funny, and knows how to unsettle you. The sound design was also great. Seriously amazing work. I wouldn't have been able to see it if he hadn't passed, because only one theater near me was showing it, and all the showings were during work hours. So, uh, thanks Pop Pop!
