My American history professor also teaches a class where they examine the historical contexts behind horror movie monsters. I thought this was funny, along with feeling slightly proud for the acknowledgement (and regret that I didn’t save that goddamned great essay that I wrote in only a couple hours).

Now, ask me if I compared Freddy Krueger to Richard Nixon and Watergate? Ask me if I compared the Red Scare to Michael Myers hiding behind corners and inside closets?
