I got a bunch of new follows recently, and while I'm honoured, I just want to manage expectations:

I don't post or draw BTD (etc) anymore. This blog is mainly focused on my own ocs, and horror/gore art I reblog. I really only draw once in a blue moon these days and I decided to shelve my game; I'm just not healthy enough to do more than this at the moment.

Still, welcome if you choose to stay, and thank you so much to those who've been here for years despite me posting at the speed of molasses.

Question for ya-

It's been a long while since I did all that writing about Avery, and there are a lot of new people here.

Would y'all mind if I did some re-explanations of how he works? I don't want things to be repetitive, but honestly a lot of the original writing is old and could be better.

Absolutely obsessed with Avery he's so well written and just- asdfjsgdksafdlfh- Absolutely feral over this man (in a polite way because I'm classy). He's such a good character and just- Words cannot do him justice you're such a good writer it's not even funny- What demon did you sell your soul to to get so good at crafting narratives??? He's a poor little meow meow and a babygirl and a bastard all at once and I want to be his house spouse even though I'm utterly terrified of being in pain- I am stealing away any scraps of lore tossed my way like a feral animal digging through your picnic basket and I am storing them for winter

I’m gonna be totally honest- I have no idea what happened when I came up with Avery. It was like being struck by lightning, I just suddenly had this fully formed character within days when it usually takes me months to years to flesh out a character completely. I was new to the fandom, I’d only encountered Strade and Rire at the time, and I guess my excitable little brain just cranked the gears into overdrive. (Fr, I could hardly sleep or do anything else for like a week because I kept being struck by more Avery Revelations).

That said, a lot of his lore is kind of old now, and I can’t guarantee I won’t retcon some of it, especially the earliest stuff. I’ll never change his core features though- like the Stages and all that, those are important to me!

He sucks so bad, right?? I love him so much.

Anyway, thank you so much for sending this (frankly hilarious, affectionate) ask. People like you are what give me inspiration to keep making stuff!! I’m giving you a big hug!! 💖
