Inscription: Free My People Now
Sometimes a trusted slave was used as a watchman to oversee the plantation for fires near the harvest or any other danger. This “watchman” wears a crown of cowry shells and has a small rough beard. He has long ears and thick ropey lips. The scarification on his face represents tribal markings.
