Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone have worked together in three films – Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. All three films have done well at the box office and duo might soon collaborate for a new film soon.
“Deepika and Bhansali are in talks for a film for quite some time now. The actress shares a good rapport with the filmmaker so she is likely to do his next film. However, it is yet to be confirmed whether she will be part of his next film with Salman Khan or for a different project,” said a source.
It is said that Bhansali is keen to bring Deepika and Salman together on screen but the final call on the cast is yet to be taken. Meanwhile, Deepika has liked his concept of Heera Mandi, but he is yet to officially announce the film and cast.
Deepika is all set to start work on her first production Chhapaak in next few weeks. The actress will play acid attack survivor Lakshmi Aggarwal in the film.

So, a love story steals a match over the Hindi remake of Korean film Veteran
Mirror (February 23) had earlier reported that Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali will team up 19 years after Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam for a love story. Now, we have learnt that the film will roll in September once the actor wraps up the third installment of brother Arbaaz Khan’s production Dabangg. Earlier, he was to jump into another cop flick, the remake of the Korean film Veteran, the rights of which were bought by Atul Agnihotri and his CEO, Nikhil Namit. When quizzed on the change of plans, a source close to the development said, “Salman wasn’t keen on doing back-to back cop films. That’s why he gave the nod to Bhansali’s love story that will help him break away from his larger-than-life image and is being readied for a 2020 release. The yet-untitled action thriller will now go on the floors in the first quarter of next year.” A team is currently developing the script. Recce and prep will be concluded by the year-end and the film will roll as soon as Salman gives the go-ahead. “UnlikeDabangg, this one will be majorly shot abroad with Salman stepping away from the conventional khakee avatar. It’s a big budget project and international stunt teams will design the action,” adds the source. Meanwhile, Salman has wrapped up the final schedule of his Eid 2019 release, Bharat, which also features Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, Tabu and Jackie Shroff. The period drama which kickstarted in July is an official remake of a 2014 Korean film, An Ode To My Father.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has done films with both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas respectively. Both the films proved to be cult ones and are etched in the history of Indian Cinema. Bhansali is known for his artistic and larger than life films. Ever since news of Salman and Shah Rukh collaborating with the thespian filmmaker have been doing the rounds.
Now, according to a report in Filmfare, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is toying with the idea of bringing these two superstars together for a film. Salman and Shah Rukh had also collaborated for a special song in the latter's film, Zero by Aanand L Rai.
Knowing Bhansali, he is one of the filmmakers in Bollywood other than Karan Johar, who can form such a casting coup. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's last outing, Padmaavat with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh created wonders at the Box Office and for both the actors' careers.
On the professional front, Salman Khan is working on his next, Bharat with Ali Abbas Zafar. The film also sees Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover and Aasif Sheikh. Apart from this, he also has Dabangg 3 and there are reports that Salman might associate with Rohit Shetty for another cop drama.
Talking about Shah Rukh Khan, after Zero's unsuccessful run at the Box Office, he opted out of Rakesh Sharma's biopic, which was earlier to be essayed by Aamir Khan. Rumour has it that Shah Rukh is contemplating, to begin with, Don 3.
Salman and Shah Rukh have previously worked together in Karan Arjun (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002), apart from doing cameos in each other's projects.

It was a long wait for Alia, who had auditioned for Bhansali's 2005 movie Black at the age of nine, but was rejected. She adds, "I was hoping for many years to work with him. When one day news came up that he is doing a film I was like why isn't he coming to me. When he did come to me, I was over the moon." Inshallah will see her sharing screen space with superstar Salman Khan for the first time. Talking about how her pairing with Salman will be presented in the film, Alia says, "I don't want to talk much about it. I would just say let's wait for the magician being, Mr Bhansali to reveal its traits. "He has a certain idea and vision for this film and he will put it out there in front of the world. Till then we should not say much. This film is lovely in every aspect -- be it the story or the world that he is creating," said Alia. The shoot for the film is likely to begin from August. And it will co-produced by Salman and Bhansali's production banners and is reportedly set to arrive in cinema houses during Eid next year.
