The Solo Study is designed to foster character development - to make you think about and consider why your celeb behaves the way he or she does, why they feel the way they do and what they are thinking. As you develop your character more in depth, you’ll likely find that plotting becomes much easier. These are not designed to be interactive with others - in fact, other Silver-Lakers should respond to these posts at all, unless you’ve invited them to or they’ve approached you with a plot idea you both agree on.

This Week’s Study: Consider and describe the ways in which your celeb shows love and affection to their significant other, family, friends.
To what capacity does your character feel affection, and in what varieties? Is it possible for them to have emotional investment in the first place, and to what extent?
Are they more verbal in communicating their affections, or physical?
Do they have proximity or commitment issues? Do they express a fear of getting attached to people?
How Do I Do This?: They should be in paragraph form (in fact, you might find yourself writing more than you thought you could once you get going!) but the setting and how you do it is completely up to you. Some people chose to write them as if they are writing a journal/diary entry (in which case, unless another character has expressively read your journal in an rp or you’ve told them the contents, no one in the game knows what is written there), others chose a multi-paragraph form that contains little or no dialogue but rather is more about the inner thoughts/feelings/memories etc of your celeb. This does mean however they could be in public and so any actions/behaviours could be noticed by others.
Most importantly though, have FUN with it! This is an excellent way to get to know your character a little better while developing or improving your writing/rp skills.
