Heeeeeeeellllp! I was off of Tumblr from Labor Day to just recently and MISSED THE CLINT'S FARM THING. Please explain?

CLINT'S FARM FOR THE LATECOMER:

ok, so part of some released footage shows Steve and Tony talking at this farmhouse. Steve drops the panties of most women and quite a few men by RIPPING A LOG IN HALF, which is a really inefficient way to chop wood. This was very pleasant to begin with and then we learned something truely magical: It takes place on Clint's farm.

where presumably he grows arrows, i guess, because lord knows, he's probably not there enough to actually farm anything.

Now, fandom has taken this and run with it, the way it always does. It's a joke or whatever to a lot of people.

For me, though, it's something lovely, though. Because Clint is a Midwesterner. I am a Midwesterner. There is nothing like a farmer. NOTHING.

I mean really, please tell me about your tractor. I want to know what brand of tractor Clint has strong opinions about.  I want him to lament that Carhartts don't come in purple in men's sizes. I want people to learn that he is strangely conversant in soybeans.

Clint's farm is amazing, and hopefully, will be used as good characterization.

Lori! I just wanted to tell you that I can absolutely sympathize with Sherlock in PiaLR when he has the banoffee pie tummyache... Having never made/eaten banoffee pie, I had built it up in my mind as this huge, complicated dessert... only to find out it was freaking bananas and toffee, and I was, in fact, a moron. So I made some. And ate it. And it was amazing. But I also kind of wanted to die. And I just wanted to share that with you. Because pie.

I live in Georgia. WTF are "ice pellets" because it sounds like the stuff Sonic puts in their drinks instead of ice cubes and it sounds like that would hurt....

It actually kind of is. It's also known as sleet and it's pretty much small bits of ice. No snow, no rain, just ice. Usually it doesn't last too long, but when it accumulates, it does kind of look like slushie ice cubes

I think we are more getting freezing rain today, so pretty much the weather is ICE. We are having ICE today.
