Hi! I've been thinking about pursuing an MFA in fiction writing, but the cost is deterring me. Any general tips?

honestly? idk how much i can help you bc i’m in a similar boat. im getting accepted to programs, but i’m not sure they’re worth the debt. i got into the california institute of the arts, and they gave me a $21,000 scholarship and i still am gonna have to come up with over half of that out of pocket, which is making me consider not doing it. some programs provide teaching jobs or you can get a grad assistantship (sp?), but it rly just depends. check out the financial aid plans of the places you’re applying to before you apply, and go from there, id say. good luck, friend

Adrien as the son who ended up getting Chloe pregnant as a teenager and raising the girl on his own, Adrienne (Addy for short). He moves to Stars Hollow to raise her and ends up acquainted with the local diner owner, Marinette, who took over her father's business.

I don't really have a plot but I do very much want to write out the scene where they meet. I just. I know it'll be good. I'm so excited.

4. Are there any other fic writers you admire? If so, who and why?

im notoriously bad at actually reading fic unless im doing it as an intro to a new pairing because i want more content. which is ironic as fuck. but i do admire writers who are great at using flowy imagery that paints everything perfectly in your head as you read. as well as authors who use really good metaphors.

5. How many words can you write if you sit down and concentrate intensely for an hour?

if im in the zone and vibing well i can actually write a shit ton without distractions. like ten or fifteen pages. which idk if that’s a lot compared to other people, but it’s a lot for me. so ye

time and motivation. those have a real tough time syncin up for me

i have to know how it’s going to end before i start posting. otherwise i’d stray way too far from the endgame and dig myself into a gigantic hole lol. i also try to have an outline of key scenes for each chapter but i always fuck that up bc i ramble or the characters decide to act up and not do what i want them to do *shrug emoji*
