On Tuesday, I was able to meet up with my best friend, let's call her Sledge. She'll be moving up to Michigan for college soon, and I haven't seen her in close to two months. Can't have that being our last meeting, hm? So I popped over to the city to see her, and we went out for burgers, as we sometimes did after school on Fridays. The entire time was just a trip down memory lane for me, holy hell. I remember freshman year, I'd come over, we'd get something to eat, and we'd stay in her house cackling at rps we did, crack comics of our oc's, playing Stepmania (terribly, in my case), and on this particular day, cringing at every grueling death in Limbo. It was great. Before I left I gave her a little something, my Jiraiya keychain. I have a ton of these Persona keychains, and if one matches someone and they're particularly close to me, I give it to them. Not only did it match her, but she also loves edm. Jiraiya just so happens to look a bit like Deadmau5, haha. She gave me her old tablet pen, before I left. I don't know if she realizes this, but that's pretty damn significant to me. Not cause I can't find my own tablet pen and can't draw cause of it, but that pen was the same one I first picked up years ago to try a tablet. Growing up with purely traditional art, it was kind of mind blowing. And this is the girl who single-handedly made me fall in love with drawing. She helped me become better, and taught me so many things I can't even list them on my blog without losing a couple followers. I'm really gonna miss you, Sledge. Make sure you keep in touch, and come back down to the city sometime. Hard to imagine walking into school without seeing you by your locker, half dead and half jolted by your morning coffee. Or is it tea, now? Now today, or rather, yesterday, I went out to main street to meet up with an amazing friend of mine, let's call her by her URL, "Karuku." I took her and our friend Kelly off to get some Korean food at this great place called Kimgane. Unf. U-Boo rolls just get in me. Afterwards, I pay her fifteen dollars for a binder of her artwork, an anthology of sorts. It starts from cute, 4 year old drawings of Pokemon, and ends in beautiful, beautiful fan art of Korra and Tarrlok. I was honestly really moved by this. It's beautiful, seeing a person's evolution in art, and I consider myself lucky to have gotten this, and honored that she considers me a friend. The entire time I've known her, I've always felt like I was bugging her or something, actually. Hahaha~I truly look up to her, not only as an artist, but also as a human being. I have a feeling she'll make it pretty far in life. I'll be rooting for her, that's for sure. If you're reading this, thank you. So much. I'll miss you, dearie. And thanks for the dance. I truly love both of you to bits. See ya 'round.
