Today we remember Tiny Fish. You were the best weirdly small bronze cory I could ever have had the pleasure of keeping. I will miss your endearing wiggling, I will remember fondly my delight at your hatching from Sausage and Bendy’s clutch, and I am glad of all the years that you were my fish.

By ‘hang’ i could mean actual talking about birds or stories or RP shenanigans and world-building- but it could also be just amicably having each other on contact lists without ever really saying much but it’s chill regardless. Both is good.

The next time they call I’m going to tell them I’ll do their (scammy, information fishing) survey if THEY can defeat the basilisk and see how long I can DM them along and impromptu D&D game before they hang up.
Feeling nostalgic for the old GURPS games I was in way back and how ridiculous they were. Reading my old character sheets and how on Tosyos (my wizardy dude) I put 20 skill points into an unconventional spell my delightful GM offered for him called ‘Rain of Pancakes’
“[11/02/2013 06:55:14] Tsargoth: RAIN OF PANCAKES
Food College. Rains hot pancakes on the area. Not enough to burn people but enough to make for a delicious pancake. Duration: 1 minute. Pancakes fall at 10 per second.” Bless you Tsar.
Additional mana put into the spell made fancier pancakes and after some calculation,
“It would cost 4 mana points to make 600 pancakes with syrup and icecream. Using the powerstone necklace, Tos has 36 mana points. 36 divided by 4 is 9. 9 x 600 = 5400. If Tos blew every mana point in casting that spell over and over, he could make 5400 pancakes.

Sadly they vanish after one hour, but you hecking bet covering small villages in pancake rain was a key goal of mine forever afterwards, one I sadly never got to capitalize on as much as I wanted.
EDIT: Bonus I just found my “long term goals” notepad list for him when it seemed he needed to do some PR on himself, to stop being thought of as a dastardly meddling science wizard and instead become a beloved food wizard.

I was recommended a book once and can’t remember the title so maybe someone can help me out.
It runs on the sci-fi/occult/horrorish?/fantasy/supernatural vibe. Some people going on a cross country trip (maybe a family trip across america) pick up this hitchhiker girl and strange stuff starts happening. Something weird and universe-ending is chasing her and she can defeat it? And they are caught up in this?
Idk it was a long time ago and bits are probably wrong but it’s really bothering me that I can’t remember and I want to read this thing that was recommended to me.
