I hadn’t had a hypnagogic hallucination in ages and I just had one and I am so shaken, I don’t know how to go back to sleep 😭

It’s always a bug, when I experience these, and tonight it was a roach running toward my face on my pillow. I’m still shaken. I ran out of bed and turned on the light only to realize what happened, that there was no roach. I’m so shaken… Anyway I’m glad there was no roach but it’s so damn unsettling to hallucinate a freaking bug when I’m falling asleep.

Have any of you experienced this? I’ve been having this weird type of hallucination since I was a teenager and it’s always bugs. I’ve seen flies, spiders, and cockroaches, with roaches being the thing I’ve hallucinated the most, followed by flies. I’ve only hallucinated spiders I think twice. Flies two or three times and roaches probably over five times since I was a teen. Yes, this doesn’t happen often. It’s pretty random. At least twice I’ve known it’s going to happen before it happens and on both occasions I knew I’d see a roach. First few times this happened I thought I experienced something paranormal. Whether that’s true or not, it’s ALWAYS unsettling and I’m always afraid to go back to sleep and have the same thing happen again. 😭

( blushes ) their mating rituals are more outrageous than we thought. belavoris and dantalion may be sloth royal dreamweavers, yet like regular sleep demons, belavoris can slow dance himself into seduce me. he created the most licentious dreams in my head, and those are the best gifts I ever gotten. gremory told me that she had a similar experience with dantalion. regular sleep demons' mating rituals are often a passionate slowburn. the goetias have dreamscapers, and its no wonder the goetias and sloth royals usually get along.
