talk about your favorite oc!! why are they ur fave! How did u come up with em!
My favorite oc definitely changes on the regular, but one I don't think I've talked about here is the Sleep Mage! They live in this giant house that's comparable to the TARDIS and the house from Encanto, bigger on the inside and ever shifting and with a mind if it's own and able to move itself and items inside to help out, but instead of literally flying around time and space it has doors into every universe in exsistance. The Mage is called the Sleep Mage because they gave up their name to get more power, and in doing so accidentally became super proficient in ONLY Sleep based magic. The whole house is powered by their magic, so the whole house has an aura of comfort that makes everyone who enters very sleepy, by the Mage has it the worst. Theyre constanly passing out and being woken up by the magically alive appliances the house uses to help out. The Sleep Mage helps any who can find one of their many doors, so long as you can keep them awake long enough to finish.
I dont quite remember where the original idea for magic house or Sleep magic came from, but they got their start as a collection of interesting inspiration pics on pintrest lol! I think I kept seeing a bunch of weird/interesting beds and bohemian fashion and it grew from there
The Sleep Mage is something of a comfort oc if I'm honest. There's a softness in their character and their life I can escape to when I'm stressed or can't sleep. Ocs have always been something of escapism for me, and the aesthetics of the sleep mage paired with this just... intense desire to help people and be happy and comfortable and the comforting nature of their house really resonates with me when I need a break.
I can never seem to pin down a design for them unfortunately. Maybe I'll take another stab at it tonight and crack open my near abandoned pintrest account to look through their inspo board lol
