sorry for my absence. i've been swamped with schoolwork-- it's fuckin ridiculous.

i met this kid nox recently, he's a friend of owen's. i don't know him well, as we only met yesterday. he's very nice! a giant fuckin nerd, though, which is kind of strange. i think he has a tumblr! he gave it to me when we met!

@sleepspeak-yt should be him? i don't know for sure. he makes youtube videos which is super cool! i think he'll be a good friend.

Socks?

Someone once told me that life is like a pair of socks. You spend time cleaning them up and then organizing them like people tell you that you should and making sense of the chaos and then once the day was done you stripped em off and they ended up wherever they end up. Sometimes you never find a couple. Sometimes they pop up when you least expect it (lookin at you sock I found under my pillow) and sometimes they get worn and thin and have to be cast out for new ones. Even on occasion something bad happens and they get eaten by the dryer. Organizing socks into pairs and trying to get them neat and organized never worked for me. I never liked putting effort into straightening up a perpetual mess and often times would wear them mismatched because of that dislike. I only tried because I was told that it was normal to do so. Eventually I quit trying. And for me it worked. Never had to worry about one fraying before the other, or fitting into an ideal of how they should look and match and "be acceptable and normal". When they got thrown on the floor at the end of the day they were all the same anyways.
