Sleepy Bois Amnesia AU/Theory????
Okay, so, hear me out.
So we've got FDA (Family Dynamic AU), Philza adopting Technoblade after AE AU, and a whole bunch of other stuff, but what if I told you I had an idea that could tie in the Dream SMP Canon and the FDA AU while still aligning with Techno's motives (aka "why would I betray my family??")?
So Ghostbur said that he remembers sparring with Technoblade as a child, and Technoblade says that he and Wilbur aren't related. How could this be??
Boom. The Amnesia AU/Theory.
He, Wilbur and Tommy are brothers and Philza is their dad. When they got older they mostly separated, and while Techno was off doing bedwars or the potato war, he got a head injury and forgot all about his childhood. Of course, he doesn't forget the Antarctic Empire or Philza, but since he never calls Phil "dad", not only does he simply assume they're close friends with an age gap, Phil assumes nothing's wrong either. Yeah, Techno's a little more distant than he was when he was a child, but that's probably just Techno being socially awkward, right??
Then Philza mentions Tommy and Wilbur at some point and Techno's like "who??" Philza, assuming he's joking, just laughs it off. Through a few vague reminders Techno begins to remember Tommy and Wilbur as 'those guys from SMP Earth'. He knows that he must've lost some memories due to the head injury because of the gaps in his memory, but once again he only puts together that he must've bonded with the two and that they're now friends if not close acquaintances.
This is why Technoblade isn't surprised when Tommy calls and asks him to join Pogtopia. When Tommy additionally says that they'd be taking down a government, Techno was like "heck yeah anarchy" and joined in.
To sum up, basically Technoblade hit his head and lost his memories and through social anxiety and misunderstandings assumes that he's just friends with the other Sleepy Bois and they don't question it. This gives Techno a motive to betray his family while also keeping Ghostbur's memories of his and Techno's earlier childhood canon.
