Got home yesterday and saw that the UPS man had brought me goodies from @adoramaphoto! It's one of my entries for the 2019 @-scottchurch Legacy Show, "Smiling Next To You" featuring the stellar Chelsea, shot at the workshop after the 2018 Legacy Show at the Mulberry Art Gallery. Its a 16x20 on canvas, excuse the awful quality, I just hung it up in the hallway took a quick snapshot to show off. Check back in my feed for a good version of the image.

Well, this sucks

I don’t know if this is just because something is broken, or the old hidden status declaring anything I do with images NSFW is intact, or what, but the “new changes” here aren’t doing much. I tried here https://slephoto.tumblr.com/post/703581113583583232/an-angel-rising-up reblogging a tottaly safe image and it’s effectively hidden. My account OVERALL doesn’t seem to be, this text only post https://slephoto.tumblr.com/post/703581779612860416/another-test-post with my tags is visible and works fine, as does this one with the shadowban tag https://slephoto.tumblr.com/post/703581910464708608/next-test-post BUT as soon as I try to post an image, even tho it’s just a dumb meme, POOF it doesn’t show up on a tag search or general search for my blog https://slephoto.tumblr.com/post/703582325516222464/test-posting-again

I guess I can try to submit a help request to Tumblr and see if there’s some way this totally unreasonable ban can be removed.  :-/

Another test post

So it looks like almost ANY browsing of Tumblr is severely limited unless you have an account now. My account & posts are semi-searchable in a logged out/cleared browser but only a little bit. If I have a direct link to a post, it’s visible but otherwise it’s not. More to the point the reblog I did doesn’t show up normally AND doesn’t show up under the slephoto and slephotography tags. Literally when searching “latest” on those tags NOTHING shows up after 2018 when the shadowban hits. Sucks for people who have SLE the medical condition. Just to test/confirm that I’m making this text only new post with those tags to see if it shows up on Search under latest. I’ll also try with some other innocuous tag in a separate post to see if it’s just those tags or my tumblr as a whole.

Been wanting to work with Christian for a while, brought this cloth along so we could shoot dance poses with it.   Wardrobe was his.  Shot this on film, Kodak Tri-X 120mm in my Yashica MAT 124G.  Only minor tweaks to resize and create the diptych.  Click thru to see this larger on DeviantArt.

Shot on film (Kodak Port 400) with my Yashica MAT 124G.  The image effects are all via double exposure, Photoshop was only used to assemble the frames in to a single image.  The final gallery print will be "attached" to a police report with this text: "...forensics confirmed the blood and body parts found at the scene belonged to the exorcist.  No trace of the crew, other than their badly damaged equipment, was found.  Identification of the suspect was made from a few strangely distorted frames of film as 'Jane Doe,' a violent escapee from a local asylum.  Whereabouts currently unknown."

2017

Oh hello there Tumblr.  I haven’t been around much because my Instagram client stopped talking to Tumblr, making posts here tougher, and because generally speaking unless @truth-has-a-liberal-bias or someone boosted a post no one paid any attention to my stuff, especially the photos I created this blog for.

However I have an assload of new photos AND it looks like some of my work (amusingly, the stuff that gets stolen and posted here all the time) will be getting published soon, so for the 5-10 of you who actually read this I’ll be around some.
