Summary: Spencer Reid x fe!Reader -> The girls suspect you're seeing someone, so they put their profile skills to the test.
Disclaimer: Brief mention of steam/smut, mention of fwb, developing feelings, slight teasing, penelope hosts girls night and reader tries to keep up their poker face. Part three.
Less than thirty six hours after you and Spencer had both agreed that couldn’t happen again, you’d broken your promise to each other.
A case had taken yourself and the entire team to Florida during a warm spell that had you wearing a tank top with your trousers, and nearly a full tube of concealer to cover the love bites Spencer had left you with.
Despite having some of his own, his purple, collared shirt covered them.
You were pretty sure when he removed his tie and unbuttoned three buttons on his shirt, as he was sitting across from you in the conference room, he was testing your reaction.
Which was exactly what he’d expected.
But you tested him yourself.
Covering up the lovebites, but still being confident enough to lift your hair from your neck and lean back as yourself, Spencer and a few other detectives went over the geo-profile; it was driving him to the point of insanity.
The moment you all had a chance to go back to the hotel and rest before you all developed heat stroke, sunburn or anything worse, you all took it.
And, just as you started gathering your towel and change of clothes before you hopped into the shower, Spencer knocked on your door.
The minute you opened it, he was on you like a man starved and you were his last meal.
The door closed behind him and he had your back against it within an instant.
“You’ve been driving me insane all day.”
You chuckled. “Makes a change. I was about to have a shower. Want to join me?”
And he did.
As the water sprayed onto your front, washing away the blended layers of concealer, Spencer stood flush against your back, his arms wrapped around you from behind.
You could feel him pressing against you as he settled his lips on your neck, one hand skating up your body to hold you in place whilst his other delved further into your flesh, leaving you to squirm under his touch before eventually begging him for more.
Who would have thought nerdy, self-proclaimed non-alpha, Doctor Genius, Spencer Reid could have you so weak at your knees, begging him for more before he was even finished his first round with you?
The tension filled hook-ups continued for months. And how you’d interacted in the day always seemed to have some affect on how you’d cum together later on.
And, although the team didn’t know you and Spencer were hooking up; the girls knew there was someone keeping you entertained outside of work.
“Oh, come on! How come I know about your neighbour’s affliction to strawberries but I can’t know who’s been capturing your heart?”
“More than my heart,” you mumbled into your drink, without meaning to.
Garcia laughed. “Y/n!”
You looked at her, a little buzzed on her homemade cocktails.
It was girl’s night which meant three things; drinks, gossip and freedom to share hot-take opinions without judgement.
“Oh, my god.”
You all turned and looked at JJ. “What?”
“It’s someone we work with.”
The drinks must have warped your ability to keep your mask up because JJ, and the others started laughing and cheering. “What? No.”
“Oh, my god! We totally work with them!”
“Oh, is it the accountant?” Emily asked.
“No,” you grimaced. “He was nice but not…” You shook your head, willing to forget the memory.
“What? No! When?”
You shrugged, “Over a year ago.”
“Where was I?” Emily said, sad to have missed that update of your love life.
“Uhh,” JJ thought about it. “Seattle? With Hotch.”
“Ah.” Emily nodded, then turned back to you. “But…it is someone we work with?”
“No!”
Garcia was borderline cackling. “Oh, my god.”
You couldn’t hide your smile as you shifted in your seat. “It’s not anyone we work with! I swear!”
“Liar!” The three women cried.
Rolling your eyes, you slumped back in your chair and covered your face. “She can’t even look at us! Oh, this has to be good.”
JJ rested her hand on your leg, and you looked at her through your hands. “Is it?”
All three burst into excited squeals.
“Can we guess?”
“No-”
Then the profiling started and the guesses rolled in.
“Let’s start with who we can rule out,” Emily said.
“Good idea. So, we know it’s not Morgan.”
“Or Hotch,” Garcia and JJ said as they looked at Emily who nodded politely.
“Or Spence,” JJ added.
You felt your heartbeat sky rocket but they all quickly moved on.
“Anderson and…”
After an hour, they had it narrowed down to three different candidates.
“I can promise you,” you told them all. “That the guy I’m seeing is not any of them. You’ve never met him before.”
“Garcia?”
Penelope nodded before taking your hands and pulling you closer to her so she could stare you in your eyes without her glasses on. Penelope hummed for a moment whilst you internally prayed a thanks to God that she wasn’t an interrogator.
If Spencer had been one of the options, you would have folded.
After a few minutes, she let you go. “She’s telling the truth.”
And you were. On a technicality. If they knew the Spencer you had come to know, they wouldn’t even recognise the man that they work with.
“Why can’t we know?!”
“Because,” you smiled, softly. “I don’t know where it’s going. I’d rather figure that out before people know.”
Emily groaned. “Fair.”
“But once you do, we must be the ladies you tell first.”
You nodded, laying a cross over your heart. “You have my word.”
Only, as much as they had your word, that wouldn’t even be close to how they found out about you and Spencer.
If it hadn't been for his father, Zach wouldn't have been able to go to Paris in the first place. He had called him to tell him that he needed to get away for a few days, he needed to go somewhere like, well, Paris, and at first his father had been hesitant. Going to Europe for a weekend seemed a bit ridiculous, but when Zach mentioned that he was bringing a lady along, his father suddenly seemed ecstatic and arranged everything - the jet, the hotel (honeymoon suite in a hotel near the eiffel tower, mind you) and wished him the best. Of course, Zach didn't mention that he was taking Elise because he knew his father would disapprove, simply because she wasn't close to being as wealthy as them and also because he didn't think she was classy enough, so to say. It didn't matter much to Zach though. If he could have his way, he'd rather live in a middle class family somewhere in Brooklyn rather than having to act like a gentleman everywhere he went, and not do anything stupid in case the paparazzi got bored and started following his every step - simply because he was a Vanderbilt. But none of that mattered to Zach right now, the only thing that mattered was the fact that he was with his best friend in a magnificent hotel in the city of love.
After a flight that seemed to have taken forever, a car had picked them up at the airport and taken them to the hotel where Zach checked in, barely noticing the look the woman at the reception gave the two of them when she saw that they were in the honeymoon suite, though there weren't any rings on their fingers and with the way Elise was dressed, she probably thought she was some kind of hooker and Zach wanted to treat her. They were escorted up to the suite, a man following them with their bags, and once Zach had tipped the two employees, he opened the door to the suite, a grin forming on his lips. "Well, this is nice." He said, trying to act nonchalant as he took the bags, walking in. "I mean, it's not a penthouse or anything, but I'll live." Turning to look at Elise, he let out a loud laugh. "Welcome to Paris, m'lady."
