Sooooo 2000p
Just heard my step dad say he doesn't feel like working today, and it's nice to know that feeling will be with me even after I'm 50.
Got people in my asks telling me that Kion isn't asking Jasiri into the Pridelands because his father is preventing him. Which is a nice little theory(?), but I just don’t think that’s entirely true.
One reason being that Kion has invited plenty of animals into the Pridelands, and the only one he ever went to Simba with was Ajabu.
Now, at one point, Kion allowed hyenas to stay in the Pridelands (Cheezi and Chunga). What really gets me with that one is... he only pretty much allowed them to stay because the rest of the Guard convinced him? The rest of the guard got Kion convinced that Cheezi and Chunga weren't any trouble, and that having them around would be useful.
Fuli: So what are we gonna do with these two? Kion: Well, they can't stay here. You two have to go back to the Outlands. - Beshte: You know, Kion. I don't see these two guys causing much trouble. Fuli: Yeah. They're not smart enough. Kion: But what if they chase after the herds like Janja always does? - Ono: Maybe we should let them stay. After all, hyenas are scavengers. By cleaning up after everyone, they'd actually be helping the Circle of Life in the Pridelands. Kion: Hmm. Maybe you're right, Ono. And I guess letting them stay would be the nice thing to do. -
Ironic, right? Considering that it was Kion that had a whole little adventure with Jasiri. And yet, the rest of the guard was more up to the idea of letting the hyenas stay than him (I have no idea whose side Bunga was on, he just kept silent.)
Having said that, we should all remember that Kion does what he thinks is right, even if at times that means he has to ignore what his father says. Best examples are from the Savannah Summit and the Return of the Roar; in both of those episodes he just went with his beliefs (and Ignored Simba).... in the Return of the Roar it was the right call, in the Savannah Summit, it was not.
Overall, I think Kion could invite Jasiri and her clan into the Pridelands for a while if he WANTED.

Also, Festering Desire's WIP is coming along nicely, I'm just a bit rusty so it took awhile to get back on track!
