Also, please note—Caribbean people ARE LIKE ON 8 DIFFERENT SIDES??? Puerto Ricans like to consider themselves Latin American, but we’re closing to Hispanic due to our Spanish roots.

the saddest thing is that people actually believe that the hispanic culture is exactly the same as the latin -- when, actually, latin culture IS SO BIG AND DIFFERENT IN EACH COUNTRY THIS KIND OF COMPARISONS DOESN’T EVEN MAKE SENSE. 

i mean, as uruguayan i feel incredibly upset because people always think i’m not from latin american just because my skin is white, when the entire culture around me is from latin america??? sure my country is mostly built by european ancestors due that we used to be an hispanic colony BUT -- do i even need to explain this. we even have native and afro american roots???
