Haven
Only a place where to coil my body that I need no veil,
your powerful body, my fortress of tenderness.
Only one balm for my wounds, the caresses of your palms on my back and arms;
Only one lullaby to my heart, the rhythm of your breathing and your whispers in my ear.
My only need at this moment, the warmth of your skin and the softness of your arms.
If it should nothing to break the spell a single second,
be it your fingers on my face bringing me out from my torpor.
Objects of grace and disgrace, that these brushes, guide my steps again.
And, as the sun will rise soon, the thrill of dawn coolness on my neck, the soft touch of your delicate lips on mine.
A burning memory, a promise engraved on the flesh.
There will be another night and another morning, another hope and its fulfillment,
Provided that it is in your arms I find my place.
