Sloane picked lightly at the grilled cheese Aiden made her as she sat in the kitchen of the Beach Docks with him, waiting for him to finish cleaning after his shift was over. “That much grease is seriously used?” she asked looking at the bucket. “Honestly, that just feels gross.”

Sloane walked into the Beach Docks, determined to talk to her brother. She was gonna do it, she was going to apologize, she was going to try and have a relationship with him. She took a deep breath, but it didn’t work the minute she saw her brother. Part of her wanted to turn away, he looked so happy talking and joking with his friends. She would just ruin his life. SHe was about to walk out when she caught his eyes. “Fuck,” she swore. There’s no way she could chicken out now that he saw her.

“I’m not saying I will, but I feel like I can easily cheat at these games,” Sloane said, throwing a dart at one of the balloons, hearing a pop before continuing. “I mean, do you think it’s technically cheating for the vampires and werewolves who have pretty good accuracy and reflexes?”

Sloane had been trying to get home from work but couldn’t manage to make it to her apartment. It was so snowy out, the wind was blowing the snow to the point, Sloane could barely see ten feet in front of her, and she was freezing. She ended up at the first place she could think of that was close enough to her. Aiden’s. Shivering, she made it to his apartment and knocked on his door, hoping he was home.

Sloane took a bite of her grilled cheese. “Hey, you okay?” she asked her brother. “You seem on edge.”

Sloane looked down at the stuffed elephant that Aiden handed her. She loved elephants, ever since she was little. It would be cute if Sloane wasn’t trying so hard to push her brother away. “I uh, you won this for me?”

The minute she got the call, she dropped everything to get to the hospital. "Hi, I'm looking for Aiden Carlisle, I'm his sister," she said to the receptionist at the hospital who gave her the way. Sloane let out a small sigh of relief, proof to her mind that he was alive. "Fuck Aiden," she said. "You scared me. Are you alright?"
