It was an irritating day for Piper, nothing seemed to be going right at all. She burned breakfast she had tried to make for the girls this morning, had to find a babysitter when she found out she’d missed a notice for the daycare being closed that particular morning, had been late to her class and found out she had failed a test. It was not a good day for her in the slightest. She was hinging so much on getting well, on becoming Queen and making a name for herself.
To top things off, her mother was calling to talk about her failed test grade. As soon as she’d seen the number she walked into the washroom to hide away and listen to a lecture. For a long time her mother had given up on her it had seemed. It seemed like she didn’t really care about anything she did, even the bad. Or at least she’d been happy plotting Piper’s destruction from the background. But ever since Piper had marched into Greece and demanded her claim to the throne be recognized, it was like being a teenager all over again. The rant she heard was long and before she even got to cut in to defend herself, her mother hung up. Sighing, she sat down by the sink. Then she heard a knock on the door. She didn’t answer. Another knock. “Hey, don’t you know that that no is short for fuck off? So no.”
