I still don't get why people accept accuracy as being slow. Slow is not smooth, it's slow. In fact, if your mindset is "slow is smooth" you're actually practicing being slowER! The same accuracy you get in slow fire can be attained in firing fast as long as you get the proper buildup and instruction from someone who knows how to do it themselves and can teach it to you. I've had huge success in this in my day to day mil classes as well as the weekend OE ones. You can be fast and smooth and accurate all at once. This is one aspect of slaughtering sacred cows that I teach in every class with both pistol and carbine, and it applies to manipulations and shooting. The modern norm should be performing above the age old standards of yesteryear. My target shooting from 25 yds on a B8 bull, a stock G19 with only my sites, stippling in two places and American Eagle 115gr range ammo from the draw- 10 rds in 15.06s-scored a 95. 70% of my students this week shot a 90 or higher in the same drill and ALL attained sub 1.5s draws from concealment into the A zone at 7 yds. #defoorproformanceshooting #performit #teachit #slowisslow #speedisgreat #accuracyisgreat #bothtogetherisoutstanding
