RECENSIONE: Yakamoto Kotzuga - Slowly Fading (La Tempesta International, 2018)
Yakamoto Kotzuga è il moniker di Giacomo Mazzucato, giovanissimo producer e sound designer veneziano. Dopo essersi formato al di fuori dei confini nazionali - realizzando componimenti per un brand francese, passando poi alla colonna sonora per le passerelle della la NY Fashion Week fino a fondare uno studio di sound design che si articola tra Milano, Venezia e Londra - pubblica il suo secondo album in studio, intitolato Slowly Fading, inizialmente nato sotto commissione della Biennale di Venezia e concepito come un lavoro audio-visivo. Mazzucato lo pensa diviso in due sezioni chiamate “Fading” e “Faded”, distinte rispettivamente da panorami sonori e concetti diversi, ma affini e conseguenziali. In tutto comprende undici tracce classificabili come IDM.
