So many ideas have come and gone over the last 2 years as I’ve considered all of the options for this space. And when the opportunity to partner with Serena and Lily came along, I knew exactly what I wanted to create. A bright and airy Cozy Summer Outdoor Nook! I know most people don’t think of summer as a cozy season, but who wouldn’t want to cozy up with a good book in this Hanging Rattan Chair!? As a child, I spent the majority of my summers cozied up on my parent’s covered front porch adventuring my way through one book after another. I hope our little one will have many such adventures in the future swinging from this chair! And I can’t wait to watch our little love grow big and tall alongside our beautiful new olive tree! For years I’ve been searching for an olive tree at local nurseries and garden stores, and I just randomly came upon this olive tree while on a day date with my mom last week. Some of you might not know this about me, but I kind of go bonkers for blue and white interiors. So @serenaandlily’s new design store in Bethesda’s got me like kid in a candy store. Give 👏 Me 👏 All 👏 The 👏 Things. . The design team was so helpful. I actually did a virtual appointment with one of their specialists, so they could see the room I was trying to update. From there they were able to put together a packet of potential fabric swatches to try at home. So darn easy! Why haven't I shopped this way before? . These past few weeks have just been a whirlwind (to say the least). From being diagnosed with cholestasis (check my highlights to learn more) to getting the call from my OB that we’re being induced ASAP to (finally) quickly moving into our new house two days before baby arrives... I’m pretty beat. But despite my lack of energy and time, I made it a priority to spend precious moments with my angel. The one who made me a mama. And I am just beyond excited to give Luna a sibling and make this house our home with not one, but two precious babes running through our halls.
