TASK 08 : TALKING BODY

Welcome to our eighth Silver Lake Task! For this task, we are focused all on the body. We want to know all about your character’s: tattoos, piercings, birth marks, scar stories, broken bones, body modifications, and more! 

You are free to talk about these in a series of headcanons, bullet points, a drabble or self para, edit a photoset, gif set, any way you wish to express yourself regarding this topic and your character. 

BONUS A totally optional questionnaire to get you thinking about things!

Is your character happy in their body? Why or why not? 

Has your character ever gone under the knife? If yes, for medical or cosmetic reasons?

Has your character ever felt pressure from social media in regards to their body? 

Does your character have piercings or tattoos? If yes, describe them. If no, why not? Would they ever consider getting some, or getting more?

How does your character feel about extreme body mods? Would they ever get one?

Does your character have any prominent or visible scars? How do they feel about them?

Your character’s favorite part of their body, if they have one?

DETAILS: 

A three story home with three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a roof top terrace. 

Stevie has her master bedroom, she converted one of the rooms into her own in-home dance studio, the other is a guest bedroom. 

The downstairs ‘basement’ she has turned into her personal nirvana; ping-pong and pool table, full equipped mini bar, her favorite bottles of wine on the wall, and the theatre room she has converted into her game-room for video games.  

Stevie’s father, a well-known music producers from the 90s, bought her this home after she left New York in 2015.

bit of a professional rolling stone. never been able to hold a steady job, and has never wanted to. always convinced his professional rap career would take off, or perhaps -- in this land of opportunity he’d be a big time actor. or once he’d even picked up a baseball bat and swore he’d go professional. always reaching for the stars and coming up with a fistful of empty. his head is always in the clouds, but we love him anyway. if you saw him in a famous body soap commercial, no you didn’t. originally from atlanta, ga.

sandra ‘sandi’ green (tisch) [ 45 - horticulturalist -  fc; christina applegate]

free-spirited heiress to her family’s hotel fortune. never really wanted to be a part of that, glam los angeles life style her parents lived, so she took off to arizona and joined a hippy commune (cult?) where she met and fell in love with rhett. sandi fell pregnant quickly at 18 and moved back to los angeles to raise her daughter. sold the family’s chain of hotels and got out of the business soon after her parents retired, and settled into a career being disney’s resident plant lady.

Miss Samuelsson lucked out because her previous tenant was a set designer. That’s why everything looks as nice as it does, she definitely does not have a knack for DIY.

Plants. Marla considers herself to not only have a green thumb, but a green hand, so you’ll find plants, succulents, et. al. in most corners.

Shares the apartment with: Hermann, the stray cat she adopted (pictured).

She has a dedicated study nook decked out with a 27-inch iMac, draws overflowing with stationery and countless notebooks. Girl is srs about her studies. 

Things you’ll find an abundance of: books, plants, spices in the kitchen racks, wardrobe shelves overflowing with clothes, hangers crammed with backpacks and handbags.

SL TASK 005: character bingo

Axel woke to the sound of his radio playing kate bush. With a groan, he got up and wandered through to the bathroom in nothing but a tight pair of neon pink boxers. He stood under the shower till he felt his soul return and then grabbed his towel and his silk robe and headed into the dressing room. Perched on his chair, he demanded Alexa play his Spotify playlist as he got dressed. Twenty minutes later, Axel stood locking his front door with a wave to his neighbor @thelottierhodes  and internally cringed when he remembered he had flirted shamelessly with her brother @madmaxrhodes​. As the sunlight hit him, Axel slipped on his ray bans, trying desperately to forget how good Max looked in his uniform, and headed to work. Stopping only to grab a donut( his life force) and a coffee...a caramel latte to be exact. 

At work, he greeted @emmadonovan​  with a coffee and a kiss to the cheek. She was practically family to him, so every morning without fail, he would get her a coffee on his way in. The rest of the morning he spent piercing people and making sure his area of the tattoo place was clean and tidy. At lunch he ducked out to meet @matthew-adams for a lunch chat, then slowly sauntered back to his cubby hole at King ink. 

At 6pm, Axel waved goodbye to Emma, walked outside and lit a cigarette. He text @honeysuckleheart​ to see if he wanted to go for dinner but  but only a quick bite, as Axel had work in the evening. After his dinner of something vegan to please Sulley, Axel went back into his dressing room and changed from his AC/DC T-shirt and white jeans and high kicks, to his lace shirt and wet look tight trousers and heels that were high. He slicked his hair back and headed to Dungeon for his second job of the day. He danced and cavorted all night until closing, where he had a drink with the rest of the team before receiving a text from @sawyereugene​.

Axel grabbed a cab to her place and followed her up to the bedroom where he stayed with her till sunrise when she had to go to work. He headed back to Oasis apartments, grateful that his first appointment wasn't until 2pm. On his way home, he dropped into see Emma with a coffee before heading to his place for a shower and a few hours sleep before work.
