For the WIP prompt game!

Hi!! I answer the pink on here (I don't have too many wips actually started atm(?) if that makes sense lol)

Kissing in bed / lazy kiss / cuddles!

The duvet is soft and warm around him. There's a hand resting gently between his thighs.

He's at a strange angle - he usually is - but even still, his husband's strong arms manage to wrap their way around his shoulders.

Oscar pulls the Brit in closer, tucking soft curls beneath his chin as he lets Lando's head rest just above his heart.

The quiet beating lulls the elder back to that dozy place you find yourself after just waking up. He'll never get used to it - opening his eyes to the warmth of the man he loves.

He didn't think he could have this, but along came Oscar - with no real plan other than to turn Lando's life inside out in the best way possible.

Lando knew life was messy and complicated. Obviously.

He'd heard it described as a tapestry that we only get to see from behind - all tangled strings and tight knots.

But here, waking up in the serene morning sun beams that cast over their bedding, here - with that safe embrace hugging him to the Aussie's chest - he sees the other side.

The bright, myriad of colours weaving past each other to build the most beautiful image he's ever seen.

With a kiss to his curls and a smile dancing over his lips, Lando drifts deeper into the floaty nothing of sleep. Safe and warm.

Serene in the morning light.

His shoulders jump to his ears, a gasp slipping past his lips, as he's surprised back to himself by a sudden warmth winding around his back and flowing over his shoulders.

He turns his head slightly, catching Oscar - clad in a thick hoodie and comfy sweatpants - sinking into the chair beside him. "D'you just throw a blanket at me, mate?" His voice is tight from the cold air sitting in his lungs, but there's still a slight tilt of warmth; fondness. Oscar doesn't answer, just shoots him a cheeky glance and self-satisfied grin before melting further into his seat.

It's nice - the silence. It's oddly comforting, Lando realises as he wraps the blanket around his knees where they're bunched up to his chest. Just having Oscar there.

He's sitting quietly, simply breathing next to Lando - the two just existing near each other for a little while.

I have limited myself to 3 WIPs atm that I'm allowed to work on until they're done haha

So here is a lil snippet of Dandoscar 😋 (SMUT below cut)

His composure is slipping; brain flaking on him as he forces a pair of fingers past his own lips - wishing they were thicker, calloused, and rough against the spread of his tongue. The hand on his cock pumps in slow, torturous strokes, tightening as he flicks his wrist over the head. Setting a languid pace, Oscar lets his mind drift. He lets himself indulge in the thoughts he's refused to give the light of day - revelling in them now, under the inky cover of night. He can see it so perfectly - so clearly in his mind as he pictures Daniel's own hand tugging steadily at his needy cock. Can almost feel the soft scuff of Danny’s scar as the edge of his palm brushes the milky skin at his base. Pulling his hand off at the tip, Oscar's met with a mesmerising, wet ‘pop!’ - as loud as Lando's gentle snores on the pillow beside him.

I shall treat you to both a random line from my current WIP!:

Daniel's still like.. 45% sure Oscar's straight.

And a new fic idea I've been playing around with ☺️

Completely based around Lando's response to his question; "How's life outside of doing extremely well in F1?" "Lonely."

It's more of a character study than anything else. Just compiling everything from Lando's struggles making friends and settling in school due to missing so much of it with racing, to the indescribable feeling of knowing you're going home to an empty house.

Some of my notes for this:

Lando constantly needs to be around people. Will go out after races to celebrate or commiserate - weather he's had the race of his life or it's gone terribly, whether he's feeling 100% health-wise or not. He will take any opportunity to be around other people because he knows that, until the next race weekend, that's likely it for his human interaction. (What if Lando doesn't particularly enjoy clubbing at all but it's the only way to see people after races and be around others in an almost overwhelming way. Would much rather hang out in someone's hotel room and game for hours and hours than go to a loud, sticky, hot club but that's not an option.)

Forces himself to sit in the SIM for hours on end, still can't shake that little nagging feeling in his chest that he knows there's no one waiting for him to finish up.

Here is a fic idea I've had in the notes for a while! I do really wanna write this one:

Hurt/No comfort hanahaki Landoscar. It's giving Unrequited love turns to resentment!Oscar, it's giving Aro!Lando and I'm projecting my fears onto him 💀

Here are the notes I have for this one:

Non-driver au, best friends to strangers

Lando and oscar bffs, oscar falls in love with aro Lando, hanahaki-ed. Lando comes out to him, Oscar slowly starts resenting Lando for making him fall in love - for being so loveable - when he can't love him back. He knows it's stupid and he's not actually upset with Lando, it's just the everything of it all makes him resentful.

Oscar starts to avoid Lando and shit, barely see each other, starts being fairly cold (due to resentment and pain). Oscar ends up fine - the hatred he accidentally built towards Lando killing the bush in his lungs that was trying to kill him. He didn't tell Lando what was going on - he's just lost his best friend and has no clue why.

YEAHHH I think it could be a fun one 😋😋

It sucks ass. This happens sometimes - Lando's always hated hearing stories about people who lose their soulmates. His mood is considerably more sour now. He doesn't want to think about it, can't look at his wrist. His foggy, screaming head is struggling to remember where he'd left all those bracelets fans started giving him. Jon doesn't question it when Lando makes his way to breakfast with his right arm clad in about 20 woven strings in clashing shades of neon.

For the WIP game

Anon, you're in luck! I write p much exclusively landoscar 👍👍 my brain is not up to comprehending multiple people's characteristics atm lol

Currently, I have 4 main fics I'm working on as a focus. One of which is the 2nd chapter of my soulmate Au!

This au was requested and I worked on the plot with them too! It follows Landoscar from their first meeting in 2021 through to the end of the 2023 season. Basically following the development of their relationship as well as showing personal struggles with the whole "soulmate" thing 😄

Here's a snippet from ch2! :

Oscar won't lie and say he isn't fascinated by Lando's brain. He's sort of been trying his best to work it out over the past months, just trying to pick up small patterns or consistent responses.

It's harder than you'd think.

He can't imagine having a head as busy as the Brit's must be. In conversation, he's always flitting between topics like changing tabs in a browser. Oscar finds it hard to keep up with the constant switching, but he's so honestly intrigued by Lando's ability to think about several conversations at once.

He thinks he gets it a little more now. Lando has backing tracks; sounds or songs or feelings. Then conversations built on top of that base layer. Then there's the inner thoughts; what he needs to work on in the coming weeks, where he left his room key, how long he should wait before shaving again.

To Oscar, it seems exhausting.

There's a dim, golden glow cast over the balcony; street lamps and city lights spilling over their faces.

For what seems like the first time, Lando feels he's truly in the moment. He feels and hears each breath, mind drifting in the soft silence around them.

No thoughts beyond the current sensation of heat pooling around his shoulders, no memories of the life he lost out on. No worries about what people think of him, what he could've done differently in relationships and situations.

He's just floating there, like a boat on a lake; on the cold balcony, feeling warm.

He hears Oscar's steady sighs beside him, eyes settling loosely in the dim light. This.. this seems like relaxation, to Lando. He's never felt truly, fully, relaxed before, ever. He's always slightly keyed up or his brain’s going a hundred miles a minute. It feels, for once, as if time is the one who's frozen.

He's usually left with some sense of grief after an evening like this one. But for some reason, something about tonight doesn't feel like an ending.

It's a fun one I reckon 😋😋
