Children rehearse their movie roles during a Chinese Martial Arts class commonly known as Kungu fu in Wakaliga slum in Kampala, Uganda's capital. The slum-based children are trained to take up acting roles in movies that mostly speak about issues affecting their communities like child sacrifice, poverty, and theft. These young actors hope that mastering Martial Arts will make them famous movie stars in the future, an invaluable ticket out of the current appalling conditions they live in. Although a lot of time and money is invested in the production of these movies, a finished product is sold for as little as Ushs. 3000 ($1).
