Ski Mask The Slump God - Beware The Book Of Eli (2018) I know a while lot about Ski Mask The Slump God in particular; although I'm aware of his name. Nonetheless this little project came up on my radar and it's a short seemingly easy listen. After listening to the album I've come to the conclusion that he's a very technical rapper with usually a very nice flow. He raps fast and squeezes in so many little wordplay puzzles everywhere. The lyricism is defenitly there. The problem is he has nothing to talk about. The tracks are about basically nothing. He's just mostly rhyming words together aimlessly. It makes the whole album come off as incredibly boring. It's painfully obvious that he couldn't have had to much to tell about due to a majority of the tracks being 2 or 3 minutes long as well. The content of the album is so juvenile and immature. Sometimes it's the musical equivalent of a stand up comedy act full or nothing but fart jokes and fake vomit; other times it comes off as extremely clever and funny. Overall This album is defenitly great when it comes to technical rapping.
