You can look at it as an extreme, depraved version of becoming an adrenaline junkie. What could possibly ever compare to getting that rush of survival at the same time as the most powerful sexual experience you can imagine?
When Michael makes someone come and lets them live, it's like death is holding them in its fist and giving them world-class cock at the same time. So they're not just cock hungry, they seek danger as well. That's why Y/N is such a hybristophiliac in Rock Bottom.
IMO, sluttification happens specifically when Michael intentionally leaves people alive, hence survivors like Laurie and Allyson don’t get it. Like Corey says, it’s when Michael looks into your eyes and you “give in.”
