Chanyeol is standing in front of a stonewall that he knew leads to the Slytherin common room, waiting for someone. He casually leans his back to the wall behind him, ignoring the eyes of the students wearing green and silver scarves and ties. He already told Aria he’ll be waiting for her outside the Slytherin Dungeon with her book he borrowed and he taps his foot to the stone floor; not out of impatience, more like out of habit.
He let out a wide yawn and he mid-froze when he sees something trying to crawl out from the secret passage, causing his face stuck in a silly expression. It looks like a bundle of soil colored fur and he has to look at it twice to make sure that his eyes didn’t fool him. He briefly wonders what that thing could be, when it finally flops to the floor and stands on its tiny feet which reveals that its actually a niffler. His brows knits together to form a frown, why is there a niffler inside the Castle? Its unusual to see one outside COMC classes for its reputation on causing mischief but then he remembers that Aria has one as a pet.
Oh, that must be Ruby then. He squints his eyes at the little creature. It seems to have yet to notice his presence and Chanyeol tip toes to the creature, hand swooping to catch it. He holds the creature gently in his hands, placing it to his shoulder as he scolds it. “Did you run away from your owner? You little devil, she’s probably looking for you everywhere!”
And just as he thinks he sees Aria coming out from her common room, he feels a tug on his neck and he sees the little critter hopping down from his shoulder gripping his dog tags and running away from them. “Wha-HEY!!” He looks at the direction it ran to, then at his friend, and then back to the way it disappeared to with disbelieve apparent in his eyes. “Whaaa...?” He stares at the retreating little ball of fur wide eyed, clearly feeling shook and offended.
