College was harder than you thought it would be, yet with your body being used to lots of sleep per night, it was completely being wrecked by the all nighters you were pulling.

Most of your time was spent at the library, your AirPods in and absolutely blasting into your already damaged ear-drums, hunched over work and quickly switching between your laptop and papers.

Most of your time would always be spent here. Becoming familiar with your favorite table and the comforting smell of the maybe twenty foot high bookshelves around you. The large and old square tables that lined between large spaces between the shelves, the librarian who always wished you a good morning and good night.

Everything about it gave your mind a comfort for focus, which was something you didn’t naturally have.

But today something was different.

You couldn’t shake the way you felt someone’s eyes on you.

Pausing your music and slowly you looked forwards at the tabled in front of you. A large looking man, tall hair that swiped up in two spike like things, being a mix of black and grey and a little white. His arms were stretched out completely flat on the table, his books open and spread out but pushed to the sides; untouched.

And large golden eyes that locked completely onto yours.

He stared into your eyes for a second, before it fully registered that you had looked back at him, in which he quickly sat up, his knees banging loudly on the underside of the table, causing multiple people from other isles to ‘shush’ him. He deflated lightly and looked around, before locking his eyes back onto you, a wide smile on his face.

He raised his freakishly large hand up, waving it frantically at you.

You responded with a sheepish smile, offering a small wave in response. His eyes seemed to light up at the fact that you even responded.

“I said I like it like that~ Now I like dollars, I like diamo-”

Your brushed against your lips, borderline hiding the smile your had as he frantically reached for his phone while multiple people shushed him from around the library.

He stared at his screen for a few moments, looking at something before frowning and packing up all his things.

He was simply so happy you had noticed him and responded, that when he waved goodbye, he had forgotten to get your number.

With a college of over seven thousand students, it would be borderline impossible to find one with just a description of how they look in poor lighting.

One he realized, it was too late to run back to you, the train doors closing as the thought crossed his mind.

So he prayed. Praying for when he would see your pretty face again. Then, maybe, he would match an equally beautiful name to a beautiful face.

because we know the eventual part is that they’re gonna step past those boundaries. and with how much carmen is thinking about it, and an alleged way she is (making some suspense), they def won’t be able to keep their hands off each other.

there’s going to be feelings, but i think their dynamic is a bit complicated. she looks up to him. he’s also part of a family that is technically not hers as a lot of the berzatto links are. there’s this need for approval.

and there’s beyond that. that carmen’s kinda stupid about. that she likes hanging out with him and burning a cigarette as they talk together. she likes taking his plates specifically.. and maybe she liked his coldness because she knew she had his attention.
