Ace attorney for the ask thing?
Top 5 Characters (this was hard, I love too many characters):
Phoenix Wright- Gotta start off with the main man. I remember once reading a description of Phoenix stating that “he’s like that one kid from those after-school instruction videos that teachers wanted us to be, the kid that would always lend the bullied or troubled kid a hand or stick up for others.” I’ve always found that to be the best description of Phoenix as it honestly states why I love his character so much. He wants to help people. He fights for those that can’t fight for themselves and he will do it without any regrets. It’s almost seen as a fault his caring nature (and in fact it almost was, as JFA showed), but in this day and age where people are ready to turn on one another at a moment’s notice, it’s a breath of fresh air to see a character that’s genuinely a good person. Also, you gotta love his snark.
Apollo Justice- I see a lot of myself in Apollo honestly- heck, Zu’s nickname for me is Lawyerboy because of him. We’re both short, we both see the world in a logical manner and have a tendency to want to stick to the book to avoid conflict, and we both have a deep love for sarcasm and wordplay. It’s hard not to love a character that you see yourself in (plus it doesn’t hurt that he’s kinda cute).
Maya Fey- Maya is just a quality character. She’s amusing, she’s lovable, she’s just the kind of person that you wish you could be friends with in real life. She’s also admirable in the fact that for all of the crap that life has handed her, all of the deaths and stress that has haunted her life, she manages to find a way to get through it all and to find a reason to smile (even if some of those reasons are harder to find than others, as T&T showed).
Simon Blackquill- My favorite prosecutor, honestly. Cool appearance, loved the fact he’s a heckin nerd under his demeanor, and I really did enjoy his story in DD (even if DD did neglect the continuity of AA4…).
Pearl- She’s heckin precious, ok? And while I loved the fact she made a cameo in DD’s bonus case, I still think her 8 year old self is the superior Pearl.
Maya/burgers Franziska/perfection Apollo/hairgel
Ok fine. Wanna know the honest truth? I never really thought of pairings much for the AA cast. I loved them all as individual characters, but never really invested much time into pairing them off. Sure I think some characters have more chemistry together than others and I’ve thought of some sexual/romantic orientations for a few of them (I view Phoenix as Bi, Maya as hetero, Klavier as Asexual/Panromantic, Apollo as demi), but I can’t find myself heavily invested into any one pairing. Considering fanart or fanfic, if the characters are in-character and I find the piece to be executed well, then I’ll happily enjoy it.
Funniest Character: These heckin lawyers have all made me laugh at one point or another.
Prettiest Character: Mia Fey. Part of the reason I waited so long to cut my hair was because I enjoyed the fact that when straightened, it sort of looked like Mia’s. She’s beautiful.
Most Badass character: Simon Blackquill. Pet hawk, swordsman motif, SILENCE! All fitting traits of a badass.
Character I’d like as a BFF: Phoenix. We all need a friend as loyal as Phoenix (and one that is as willing to buy us food).
Character that has ruined me: Trucy Wright (her story ruins me because I want some closure with it, honestly. Don’t let me down, AA6).
