"What?!"
The friendly friend shrieked incredulously after what she had seen and heard recently.
"Honestly, you can't go around barging into people's relationships like that..." Timpani facepalmed.

Continuation Reboot - Hibernation
White. Silence. Emptiness. These were the words that filled her head as she remained motionless on the floor, flat on her back. She could not fixate her eyes on anything, as they continue to drift aimlessly along the border-less and texture-less white space.
Rosalina sat up straight without the need to use her arms to push herself up. Her legs curled up by her side, her body and mind wary of the unnatural stillness. There was absolute silence. Silence that made itself known in the room. The sheer absence of any sound reigned over the blank space, and the motherly figure could hear the blood pump through her ears, and the ringing beginning to settle.
Rosalina attempted to get on her feet, only to realize that the floor was never there to begin with. It dawned on her that she had been floating all this time. The fact that nothing here, not even the floor, was existent or tangible was eerie to her. Surely when there is a reset, there must be a beginning, a new start...
She herself had materialized in that space. It was either that, or that she had never been reset. So something else had to exist along with her. In her mind, the first thought that came to her was...
"...Luma!"
Her shout was made soft by the infinite borders of the "room" she occupied. It sounded small, insignificant, helpless.
Continuation Reboot - Reset
The majestic blue hues of the bright sky soon faded into pitch black. Strangely, the light from the sun still shone on some parts of the land, but eventually specks of shadows began sprouting from the edges of the ground. The earth that had once provided the inhabitants a strudy place to live was transformed into a shapeless darkness, and split into several intangible pieces that rose up into the sky.
The ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom looked up in helplessness, her lips trembling at the sight of the world deteriorating before her. Biting her lips tight, she uttered with a hint of despair, "...What will happen to us now?"
A lady clad in blue and stars followed behind. The starry child in her arms snuggled close to her chest, and covered his eyes with his stubby little arms, but it was not enough to prevent him from peeking at the horrific sight of destruction.
Rosalina said nothing, as she looked upwards and tugged at the other princess' shoulder. Peach's eyes shot up to where Rosalina's were, and shrunk in horror.
The willow tree, the remnants of the kitchen, and even the rubble of the manor -- all were fading to black, and they were soon consumed by the glowing mark in the sky. The outline of the mark was a partial circle with a straight line stabbing into it on top.
The pink princess embraced the cosmic other with all she could, allowing her sobs to echo in the emptiness as Rosalina patted her back in a motherly manner. The Luma squeaked sadly, the three of them all bidding the world and themselves goodbye, and if it did happen, they would be able to say hello to each other again.
"...Reset."
That was the last word Rosalina uttered before the shadows consumed all of them, breaking their bodies into nothing but fragments of destruction. The black shapeless pieces molted off like snake skin, leaving behind pink, blue and yellow lights. These three spheres of light rose into the sky as well, shimmering and shining for all it was worth.
These were not the only lights to have emerged from the darkness. A certain red-and-green-light combination followed behind the three. Ruby, emerald and sapphire-toned spheres joined the group of rising lights. Everywhere where there was darkness, colorful lights appeared, all shooting up into the sky like shooting stars that fell upwards.
The essences accumulated and merged, bringing forth a miraculous light that shone upon the hopelessness of the world. The mark in the sky was drowned in this brightness before the world imploded on itself, and an explosion of blinding light painted the world in sheer white.
