mini-study; layers and transparency
On an A4 sheet of tracing paper I drew four squares and a basic landscape with oil pastels. With a torch lit behind each piece, tonal aspects were visible. Layering the paper created a blurred effect to the pieces behind the top layer creating a kind of ‘atmospheric’ perspective (top right).

A collection of pomegranates from our last family get together. Small studies of 5 x 7’s to 6 x 8’s. Pomegranates coloring is so similar to human skin coloring…great practice in mixing colors.
